I’m beyond passionate

The one thing you should know above all else is that I’m beyond passionate about weddings.

Based in the The Lake District, I’ve gone the extra mile by training and working with some of the most talented wedding photographers throughout the world, and picked up a few awards along the way.

This way, you’ll know that on your wedding day, I’m going to deliver those WOW images that couples absolutely L.O.V.E.

I’ve previously been a teacher and loved getting out of the classroom by organising ski trips and Duke of Edinburgh Programs, where possible within term time !

For any adventurous couples, I’m always up for any adventure which you may have in mind.

My photographic journey began, when documenting travel adventures using good old fashioned film.

This taught me to truly understand light as it was an expensive hobby having film developed. This passion continued when taking countless photos of our son and daughter. Friends were so impressed with the photos hanging on our walls, of the kids which led to me photographing their sprogs, until a friend said…

“Hey David, you’ve got a camera. Could you…?”

My first wedding was a blur, but most importantly, my friend fortunately stayed friends!

They loved their images and soon a few more people kept asking me to shoot their wedding which snowballed, then I was offered a job in New Zealand.

As an advocate of living life with no regrets, with two toddlers under the age of 18 months old and no support network, we began a new adventure overseas.

The world is
your oyster!

After NZ, Qatar then followed, next was Libya and Borneo, and finally Saudi Arabia where in 2016, I had my own mid life crisis, quit teaching and followed my heart.

It sounds clichéd, but I genuinely haven’t looked back since.

I’ve been fortunate to photography weddings all over the UK with a few adventurous elopements overseas, which satisfies my wanderlust for travel.

I’m a
wedding junkie….

and absolutely love the buzz. The adrenaline hits when I turn up to each and every wedding. As the day unravels it becomes an intoxicating, magical dream. But then it has gone forever.

It is then that I hope you’ve invested wisely in your choice of wedding photographer, for I want you to feel that buzz and that intoxication all over again.

Whist I bring lots of experience and knowledge my intention is always to distil the essence of your wedding into a unique set of epic images that standout from the crowd.
