Lodore Falls Hotel is a venue I know extremely well having lived in nearby Keswick for many years.
The Hotel is set in the beautiful Borrowdale Valley close to where Wainwright who produced his famous Lakes pictorial guidebooks describes this area (along with the Head of Ullswater) as his favourite square mile in the whole of The Lake District.

Dawn & Mark choose an elopement wedding in January 2023 days after a stormy day which left the surrounding fells with a dusting of snow.
Given it was an afternoon wedding, the only request the couple had was a sunset shot at Surprise view, and the rest they would leave up to myself.
After their ceremony, we visited Lodore Falls themselves for some natural photos, then took a mini tour by car of a few locations surrounding Derwentwater.
Dawn never complained once despite the freezing weather but the ice at The Latrigg car park made it unwise to walk the short distance to the summit, but any disappointed was short lived, as the couple got the one photo they wanted, when the sky played ball turning a beautiful fiery orange :).
