Broadoaks is one of many weddings venues surrounding Lake Windermere, set in landscaped grounds approximately one mile from The Lake.
The venue’s historic country house offers a charming and intimate atmosphere for weddings, with a range of indoor and outdoor spaces to choose from ideal for getting those all important photos whatever the weather..
The Gazebo is popular for outdoor ceremonies and you can choose from not one, but five licensed ceremony areas. For those wishing to tie the knot outdoors, the green doubles up as a helipad for that grand wow factor entrance.
The venue is in their own words “the No1 GAY venue in Cumbria for Civil Partnerships”.
Having met Lori & Paul for their pre-shoot the previous year, it was like meeting old friends again come their wedding day on a balmy summers day in The Lakes. The vibe was amazing with all their family and friends and of course their 4 legged children having the time of their lives. This wedding will not be forgotten for several reasons. Firstly we had planned to drive into the mountains for some sunset shots and everything including speeches went on a lot longer than anticipated. Fortunately, as I shoot manual, I’m adept at making it appear lighter that it was as it was pretty dark. Secondly the dance floor grooves were that good I joined in and stayed till way past midnight. Then feeling pretty tired, locked my keys in the car, and needed a Policeman to break the windows in to retrieve the keys.
“If we could give 11 out of 10, we would as David is that good! Book this man if you want someone who is passionate, fun and produces images a cut above the rest.”
